*Alcohol & Drug Counseling. AA &NA meetings daily in Sacramento including residential drug and alcohol program. M - F 8 - 3p.m. "The goal of Clean & Sober is to provide homeless and disadvantaged individuals the opportunity to attempt and achieve sobriety."

  • No one is turned away because he or she lacks financial resources.  Clean & Sober provides a monthly subsidy for those who can provide only part (or none) of the program’s costs.
  • Residents in Clean & Sober communities can stay up to a year and then transfer to a transitional apartment for up to two years. The program is effective because our residents can surround themselves with twelve step leaders and live and work with others committed to sobriety - for as long as it takes.

    Detoxification Services

    This residential detoxification program is conducted in a licensed, medically monitored facility in South Sacramento. This seven-to-fourteen day program assists the substance abusing client with round-the-clock treatment for physical detoxification from alcohol and other drugs. Substance abuse counselors are on-site 24 hours a day.

    "This facility provides treatment for substance abuse and maintains a 40-bed coed program of 27 men and 13 women. The Effort Residential Addiction Treatment facility operates fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The program accommodates a 30-90-day and 6-month treatment plans plus 18 months of aftercare. No children are treated at the facility, and neither do we treat convicted sex offenders or arsonists."
