*Aid in Kind is located on "A" street; however, you must go through the Dept. of Human Assistance G. A. processes to receive a bed space. This Sacramento emergency shelter offers a 3-month program that also follows through with transitional housing, employment and permanent housing.

*Sacramento emergency shelter provided for single men or women only. You must be at their B street patio at 1:00 p.m. for placement onto their waiting list. You may even receive a bed right away. Program offers a 30 to 60 day shelter diligently assisting in employment and housing independence along with placement into transitional housing if desired.

*"Here you will find information on current vacancies in various types of Sacramento emergency housing options including apartments, shared living arrangements and rooms for rent." This service may require you to have available a small amount of money for an initial deposit.
 
*"A collaborative effort with the County of Sacramento,
the Winter Shelter program for men, women and children is open from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. seven days a week during the area's coldest months of November through March. The shelter provides clients shelter and two daily meals in a comfortable dorm-style environment."
Transportation to and from the site also provided daily.

"There are the volunteers and staff of the homeless shelters who are utilized everyday to help people in need.  They feed, teach, and raise money for homeless programs.  There are people who drop off food and clothes.  Shelters receive coffee from Starbucks and almonds from Blue Diamond".
